It was a lively Monday night at L.A. hotspot, The Mint. The crowd was ready for some crazy, darkadelic rock when Los Angeles locals Alexx Calise and Dennis Morehouse—aka Batfarm—took the stage. Let’s just say, the crowd got what they wanted and more.

Full disclosure: I am friends with Alexx and Dennis. I love them dearly. So, just know that I am going to be telling you how amazing they are, both as people and musicians. This isn’t a hard-hitting news site, anyway. I write about things that I love, and I love Batfarm.

Batfarm recently released their debut EP, In the Belfry, on all digital outlets. They performed all of the tunes from the album, as well as other original songs from their catalogue.

The band has an amazing chemistry and work ethic. In the studio, they share all the responsibilities of playing instruments and singing. On stage, they have distinct roles that make them an unstoppable team.

At the show with Batfarm
and Key of F frontwoman Andie K

Frontwoman Alexx Calise deftly leads the way with her trademark Gibson Les Paul—nicknamed Agnes—and her ground-shaking vocals. Drummer Dennis Morehouse is exceptionally gifted in combining the feel of driving rock and pocket groove with a flair for rhythmic expression.

Batfarm started the night with the opening track from In the Belfry, Get Out, a personal favorite of mine. Check out the video below…

Here’s another of my favorites from their catalogue, Love
