Greetings, DangerKatts! Welcome to Episode XII of MAKERS, where I speak with artists who make and shape culture!

This week, I was happy to visit Ventura Guitar Company, meet luthier Jackson Herrera, and try out some of his amazing guitars! Jackson is a very experienced and knowledgable guitar builder who worked for companies like Fender, Guild, and Cordoba before registering Ventura Guitar Company and establishing his own workshop in 2018. Since then, Jackson has built guitars for Richard Fortus (Guns N’ Roses), John Rznenick (Goo Goo Dolls), Wesley Shultz (The Lumineers), Curt Chambers (Alícia Keys, Rihanna), Levi Hummon, Nikki Lane, Doyle Dikes, Rival Sons, and Marcus King. He also created a new line of Anacapa T models for this year’s Winter NAMM show.
