DangerKatt Creative Studio is pleased to announce that Daniel Corey‘s Moriarty has won the Best SciFi or Horror Graphic Novel Award from the Philip K. Dick Film Festival.

at the Philip K. Dick Film Festival
The PKD Fest, now in its 10th year, celebrates the themes of Philip K. Dick by screening films that explore elements familiar to his writing: the nature of humanity, the meaning of reality, speculative technology and dystopian landscapes. At Sunday’s awards show, festival director Dan Abella told the crowd that the PKD Fest has recently added writing categories to celebrate the writer’s role in the process, including various screenplay genres, as well as the graphic novel competition.

Moriarty author Daniel Corey was present at the New York City-based festival to receive the award, which he accepted on behalf of the entire Moriarty team: artists Anthony Deicidue, Mike Vosburg, Dave Lanphear and Perry Freeze. “It is an honor to receive an award that bears the name of the author whose work originated such cultural standards as Blade Runner, Minority Report, A Scanner Darkly, Total Recall, and so many other seminal classics,” Corey said. “I accept this accolade for the entire Moriarty team. I’m very proud of the work that we did, and I know that the Professor will continue to lead us on to new adventures in the years to come.”

Twenty years after the death of Holmes, a beleaguered Professor Moriarty finds himself back in the game, matching wits with a new villain who threatens to surpass his legend.

Author Daniel Corey has plans to re-release his Philip K. Dick Award-winning Moriarty series in 2023. More announcements to follow.
