Daniel Corey and DangerKatt DC Music are proud to announced the release of Daniel’s new single, Lift Me Up. Now available on all streaming platforms, Lift Me Up gives the listener a feel that blends the aura of Paul Simon with the rustic Americana of Bruce Hornsby and the raise-the-roof anthems of U2. It handily showcases Daniel’s unique skills on fingerstyle guitar and piano, as well as composing memorable melodies with weighty lyrics.

“Lift Me Up is a song about longing, about yearning for more than this damaged life has to offer,” Daniel says. “It’s about a greater love, a love of God that pulls us out of the mire and elevates us to be able to love Him and each other more.”

Daniel is a well-rounded artist who has tried his hand at many different disciplines. For years, Daniel has operated under the name of his alter ego, DangerKatt, creating comic series that have been published by powerhouse publisher Image Comics, screenplays that have netted over 50 first-place awards from film festivals all over the world, and his award-winning conceptual photo series, Map of the World.

In addition to these pursuits, Daniel has been recognized as an innovator who created some of the earliest explorations of Augmented Reality in comics, and was ranked #2 on Onalytica’s Top 100 VR Influencer list for his role in collaborating with Transmedia Entertainment to produce one of the first VR comic books. In the midst of all of this, Daniel has spent years honing his craft as a musician. In June of 2022, he released his first single, Nearsighted, also now available on all digital streaming platforms.

Of his personal creative philosophy, Daniel has this to say: “I have always wanted to create art in many different media, but music has always been the core thing in my life. I initially created DangerKatt as an umbrella for all of my artistic pursuits. It really all came together when I created Map of the World, which explores human eyes and motivation in extreme close-up. The futuristic visuals combined with the retro vibe of the music make a sort of Cyber-Americana that has been driving my output for the past several years.”

Daniel credits much of the success of Lift Me Up to his producers, Alexx Calise and Dennis Morehouse: “Alexx and Den are very gifted as musicians, songwriters and producers. I am blessed to know them.”
